The Hammer, Heather's next feature film - which she produced and stars in - will be having its world premiere at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival! The film is screening in the "Spotlight" section and will enjoy a special tie-in with ESPN, who is co-sponsoring the festival for the first time this year. The film reunites Heather with her Kissing Jessica Stein partners Eden Wurmfeld and Charles Herman-Wurmfeld. The Hammer stars TV and radio star Adam Carolla (Crank Yankers, The Man Show) and is loosely based on his own rags-to-riches story of construction worker-turned-comedian. In the film, Carolla's character makes the leap from construction worker to Olympic boxer, with hilarious fish-out-of-water results. (Carolla is himself a former Golden Gloves amateur boxer). The story could be described as a comedic cross between Rocky and The Rookie. Heather would love to see you at the gala premiere screening in Tribeca on Thursday, April 26, 2007. Please visit www.tribecafilmfestival.org for up-to-the-minute information on screening times and venues.
